Text Box: HPI (High Pressure Impreg) is formed under pressures and temperatures that  cannot be achieved by normal infiltration methods. This is done to create a higher diamond concentration and harder retaining matrix as well as to achieve a more even distribution of diamond grit. Individual grit is encapsulated so they can be compacted without being clumped together as occurs in LPI when a high concentration is attempted.
