Text Box: In Extremely Severe Coring Appilcations where formations are too hard, too abrasive, or too fractured for other cutting structures we can offer diamond-impreg type core bits that use small grit sized diamonds that are mixed with a matrix blend and bonded together to form 1/2" or deeper blades that wear away slowly to expose new small cutting grit through the entire blade thickness. We offer LPI (low pressure impreg) shown at left and HPI (high pressure impreg) inserts molded into the LPI blades, and several combinations in between to suit the exact application.
